....you miss someone's birthday. Well, I missed my soon-to-be BIL's birthday. It was January 25th. In all fairness, my sister didn't tell me it was George's birthday until I saw a picture she sent me and there he was, cutting a birthday cake. So, I had to make a card lickety-split. Verve Visual: Honored Guest Designer Challenge Contest, and, I had an extra owl ATC left over from my swap, so I married the two together. Voila, almost instant birthday card. Please, hold the applause, I'm sure I'm not the first crafter to have thought of this idea, but man, was it quick.

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Ballet Blue
Patterned Paper: Clouds, Stripes
Stamp: Carolyn King Collection, Autumn Leaves, CTMH
Ink: Palette Hybrid Black, Ballet Blue
Accessories: Silver brads, googlie eyes

It's a huge day because it's her birthday, my daughter's birthday, and now, their Wedding Day. I'm really sorry that I'll miss the big party because of my surgery, but here is the card I made for them. I hope they like it. I tried to keep it elegant because my sister is just that sort! At least I think so.

Congratulations to your Sister and soon to be BIL. My oldest will be 6 on the 15th and my dad and stepmom celebrate 7 years of marriage on the 14th. February seems to be a big month for us both :) I also missed my brother's bday last month and still need to get a card to him. For some reason I can't see the cards but I am sure they are great. I hope to have some cards up this weekend for Monday's round.
