My Challenge Day

Holy moly! I did two cards that count for three challenges. So far for tomorrow, we have six numbers already!

This first card was made for Mojo Monday, Week 3, which is posted on Poetic Artistry. I am happy to participate and when this card was finished, I knew exactly what I would do with it. I'm sending it to.........., oh wait, if I say here, it won't be a surprise when she gets it. Oh well, that person will just have to wait! I did try something new to me on this card. I squeezed the ink pads and got a little colour in the lid, then used a brush to colour the train with Groovy Guava for the engine, Soft Sky for the caboose. The flatbed I coloured with Tombow markers. I rather like having the colours match the papers!
Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Bashful Blue, Groovy Guava
Stamps: Hambo Engine, Flatbed, Caboose
Inks: Groovy Guava, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Karen Foster Doggie brad, MM button brads, M's ribbon

This card is good for two challenges at SCS. It's good for CS142 and CC132.

The colours we were required to use for CC132 were River Rock, Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. It didn't sound too good, but when you put them all together, it is quite striking. I just love this little dog with the bird on his head and I adore using my new Fun Flock on animals. This time I didn't fill him in completely and I think it gives the dog a two-colour look. I may send this to one of my grandsons. I'll either have to make an identical card or flip a coin. I'm very anal about trying to keep things even. It drives my DH nuts, but that's what my Mom did with her grandkids and I guess I just grew up seeing that and am following in her traditions.

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Stamps: Carolyn King Collection by Gina K Designs, Polka Dots & Paisley
Inks: Pallette Hybrid Black, ColorBox Chalk-Rust
Accessories: SU Earth Elements brads

Nice cards (love the colors of the second one). Finally, I got a card put into my gallery. Made this a couple weeks ago, but in the middle of this relocation I'm going through (from Oregon to Utah), I haven't had free time to post. This one uses river rock and followed a sketch challenge, but now I don't know which one! :(
If anyone recognizes the sketch, let me know, so I can give credit.
