I made this card for the Weekend Sketch Challenge 19 over on Beate's blog. My new stamps, papers and embellies were calling me and calling me and wouldn't be quiet until I went to my craft room to play with them. I have a feeling this Christmas tree stamp is going to play a huge part in my Christmas cards this year. It looks to be very flexible and will lend itself well to the heat-embossing technique. I see a blue base with a silver ep tree in my future!
Supplies: Real Red c/s, Doodlebug Designs pp, Hero Arts tree, PTI Faux Ribbon sentiment, HOTP brads and flowers, Icicle Stickles on star.
This card is for a challenge at The Stamp Shack. I am so not accustomed at doing collage style work. In fact, it's so far out of my comfor zone, I had to work at my neighbour's house. LOL! Take a look at the piece in the bottom left corner. That's using a new trick I learned at my Window's to the Past class with Tim Holtz when I was at Scrapfest last weekend. Those acrylic blocks are called "Fragments" and will be coming out all over in October. Ranger supplied Archivers at MOA with bunches of them just for Scrapfest. If you live in Minneapolis you can run get some quick. I wish I had gotten a couple of more packages now!
Supplies: Vintage Violet, Marigold Morning c/s, Inkadinkado script stamp, Karen Foster Designs buttons, Ranger Fragments, BG pp, $$ store glitter yarn.
