I just had to share these photos. This bear is standing under the sign which is our house number! I've lived in Thunder Bay for two years and this is the first time (and hopefully last time) that I've come this close to a bear.
Yup, just 50 feet from our front door! That is way to close for comfort. Anyway, have a nice evening. I'm closing all the doors and windows now and locking up for the night. I hope they don't have a key!

Wow Barb. That is one big bear. Yikes! Maybe make a lot of noise every time you leave your house so the bear knows you're coming.

Barb, that is a big bear! WOW...I think I'd be a big intimidated. Despite the fact my 'Bella looks like a black bear, seeing this photo...well...I have no problem knowing the difference. Did you call animal control? YIKES!

I agree he is so pretty. Yet I would be so scaried if he was that close to my house.
Oh noooo! He wasnt put away was he Barb? Its so sad that these bears always come back... because ppl leave their garbage out! (Or atleast thats the case in BC). He looks so cute from far away... lol
