I love my Copic Markers

My very dear friend, Sherri, sent me some of these Sugar Nellie images some time ago. I've been wanting to use them and finally got around to it today. Sherri had asked the question, "if I were to buy only 5 Copic markers, which 5 should I buy?". I answered her with whatever five you buy, keep them in the same colour family so that you can blend with them. Also, don't forget to buy the colourless blender marker as it's so useful. (Unfortunately, I don't have it YET!.) So, here is the card I made and here's a pic of the markers I used.

The markers on the right side of the pic are from the Violet (V) family and I used them on the trousers. The colours on the left side of the pic are fromthe Red/Violet (RV) family and they were used on the sweater. I still don't have the blending down to an art yet, but I'm working on it. The blending is much better on the trousers, I think.

Well, that's my lesson for today. I gotta run and do some errands. See you tomorrow.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Pixie Pink, So Saffron
Designer Paper: Two Scoops
Stamp: Sugar Nellie
Ink: Black
Accessories: brads and Loopy Brads by TAC, Scrappers Floss

until you can get the real blender pen from Copic, you can buy one at Micheals or Joann's in the fine art department or in scrapbooking/stamping. I think it was 2.99. that is what I used at first. Then I just broke down and bought the whole set of markers right before my birthday and Christmas (and havent used them yet as I have been laid low by the flu). I was buying one pen at a time at Hobby Lobby and figured I would die before I got all the colors I wanted.

Oh my so cool-on your map it blinks where I am from! I wondered what was down in the corner while typing this-Hi from Michigan!

Pretty card, and I think you did a great job on the coloring. I don't have any of these markers, but I just got prismacolor pencils and am trying to learn how to color/shade/blend with them. I think it just takes a lot of practice! Thanks for sharing.

I like the card Barb. What is the difference in using the copic markers versus watercolor pencils and the blender pens from SU!? Just curious.

I also have three, maybe four cards for Monday's bingo. My almost 6 yo made a card with a SU stamp last night so I don't know if it will count but I have my three also posted at: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/OhioSarah/469083/

God bless,
Sarah
