I want to make cards again, but digitally. There are some really sweet digital stamps available and I love digital because there's less mess. While surfing, I found Bugaboo challenges so I'm going to give it a try.
Monday's challenge is to make a card using non-traditional colours. Here's my card:
This is a totally digital card and I used the kit, Santastic, a collab from Digiridoo.
Come back tomorrow and see "Ruby" from Bugaboo Stamps

Happy Birthday, Ava
This beautiful little girl is my granddaughter and she is one year old today! It's been an amazing journey watching her grow and get to know the world around her. Ava won't actually get this card until her birthday party on Saturday, but I hope her Daddy or Mommy will show it to her sometime today. Have a happy, happy birthday today, sweetheart.

Mr. Jingles is here...
...well, Miss Jingles, really. My DH pointed out that the snowperson is wearing a hat! Does that mean it has to be a "he". I think not! Anyway, because I coloured the scarf red and pink, I called it "Snow Princess". The image is from Digital Delights, the paper is from a kit called "Silly Snowman Gang" by Kathryn Estry, the "SNOW" wordart is from "Silly Snowman Gang" by Connie Prince both of which I picked up at Gotta Pixel.
I coloured Mr. Jingles with Copic markers and the image was printed on Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury cardstock.

It's been awhile since my last post, sorry....
but, I've been to Las Vegas for a mini-vacation and back again, then life just took over and it's been busy. Enough with the excuses.....I'm back and have a card to share with you. I picked up Mr. Christmoose from Digital Delights, my newest find for digital images. He's cute, but just wait till you see Mr. Jingles the Snowman! Coming soon in a blog entry here.... Each week there is Friday Freebie and you should check out Wendy's blog, Creations by Louby Loo.
The papers are from a kit called "Winter Blanket" by Christie Lemmon Designs. After colouring Mr. Christmoose with Prismacolor Pencils, I mounted it onto a bit of Real Red cardstock with just the corners peaking. I like the way it turned out and it's perfectly flat for easy mailing.
See you soon with Mr. Jingles.....

Here's a card I made for the first-ever Whimsie Doodles challenge at Paper Craft Planet.
This card is printed on Whisper White, but the papers you see are digital papers, the image is, of course, Whimsie Doodles Gingerbread Greetings and the snowflakes are from my stash. It was fun making a "hybrid" card. What do you think of it? Maybe you should check out Whimsie Doodles for their cute images.
Sketch Challenge Card
This is for the Get Sketchy challenge GS #9. Their sponsor this week is Squigglefly. I went over there and found Shady Lady and had to have her.
The base is Bordering Blue. I added some Night of Navy and Almost Amethyst on the mats with a bit of DP, also SU but can't remember the specific name. The hardware is Hodge Podge and buttons are from my stash.
I could be this lady after a couple of martinis....

Let's Talk Turkey!
The Stamp Shack has weekly challenges and this is my week to host. I chose a Theme Challenge for Thanksgiving. Our Canadian Thanksgiving is on Monday, October 12th. This is the card I made for the challenge.
The stamps are from Hambo Stamps, except for the sentiment which is from a grab bag and can't remember where I got it. The card base is Old Olive and the accent colour is Chocolate Chip. The patterned paper is so old I don't remember where it came from, but I'm thinkin' it's from my days as a Creative Memories Consultant way back when....
So to all my Canadian readers, Happy 'early' Thanksgiving!

My first card with my Whimsie Doodles prize stamp set
If you remember, last week I won a prize from Whimsie Doodles. You can see the blog post here.
Here's the first of what I know will be many, many creations. I think this seahorse is just adorable. Unfortunately, you can't see the glitter on the fin and top bits, but it looks really super, even if I say so myself.
The base is Night of Navy. I added a bit of sea green c/s from my bits & pieces drawer and then placed some DP from Best Creation Inc. It's a beautiful DP with an 'ocean creatures' theme. I cut out the seahorse and used dimensional glue-dots to adhere it to the small bit of Night of Navy. The sheer ribbon is from my stash and the sign is made with the SU punch and matching stamp set, Totally Tabs.
Here's a little tip about digital images. If you look closely at the post below and click on the card to enlarge the image, you will see that the lines bled when I coloured with Copics. Today, I sprayed the images with hairspray, let the paper dry for a bit and then coloured, again with Copics. Voila, no bleeding of black lines into the colour. I'm going to keep doing that and perhaps you should give it a try, too.

Digital Pencil, Too has a challenge blog!
Mo's Digital Pencil has a new challenge blog, Mo's Challenge Blog and the first challenge is up and running. "Perple" was the colour to use. (It must be purple week for me, see post below.) I just picked up the Swine Flu (not literally) image a few days ago and he's been sneezing and coughing in my craft room, so I thought I'd air him out today. He's adorable and will most likely get used many, many times this coming winter.
The card base is Orchid Opulence which I ran through the CB using the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The image was printed on Whisper White c/s and matted with a bit of Elegant Eggplant. The little labe is also Elegant Eggplant. I added some Glossy Accents to the crumpled up tissues to make them look wet, ewwwwhie, and a few brads in the bottom left corner to finish off the card. Since this is a digital image, when I downloaded the card into PS, I added a layer of sparkly stars in the background, just for fun!
YAY for me! and LPS36 Challenge Card
I won the "Caroler" stamp from The Little Paper Shop with this entry. WOO HOO!
Now that I've been inspired again, the Monday challenge at Little Paper Shop was actually posted on Saturday to coincide with WCMD. The criterion for this challenge is to NOT use traditional Christmas colours, ie. red and/or green (except in tinny, tiny bits). That made me think about purples and blues and that's what I used.
Because I don't have Katie Caroler yet, (I eagerly check my mail box now), I had to use one of my existing sets. I chose Keep Christmas by SU. The cardstock is Lovely Lilac and the image is stamped onto Whisper White and coloured with my Copics. I used the CB Snowflake embossing folder just along the right edge and then added some Glamour Dust on the snowflakes and around the Nesties frame from the Labels 4 set. I love the way it turned out! I don't want to be greedy, but they're giving away a huge prize for this challenge so, go ahead, make a card and enter the challenge.
Good Luck to all entrants.

Slow day today....lot's of time to play!
I love this little sleeping kitty all entwined in a ball of wool. It's such a true image of what a kitty's life is like! This image was a 'freebie' from Digital Pencil Too quite a while ago. I don't know if it's still available or not, I'm just glad I picked it up when I did.
The papers I used are from a prize I won at Get Sketchy. My comment was randomly picked and I won this terrific bag of goodies. (You have to scroll way down, past the CT cards, to see it.) Today I found the perfect use for it. The kitty is sporting a lovely 'coat', compliments of white Fun Flock. I used Groovy Guava and Wasabi to edge the image. The sentiment is a combination of Snuggles Alpha a digital kit created by: Monica at Random Inspirations and the font Susie's Hand. NOTE: The Snuggles alpha comes in pink and blue, but I took the liberty of colouring over the pink with a pale orange to get a matching colour for my card. Also, I must apologize to Maurie J. Manning, the creator of this image, because her signature was cut off the image when I cropped it with the oval by CM. So sorry!

Sketch & Colour Challenge in one
In honour of WCMD, several places were hosting challenges. I chose to make a card using the sketch and colours provided on Follow Your Heart.
I pulled out a stamp set from Pink Cat Studio which has 14 Billy Stamps. I thought the Super Hero fellow was particularly cute and inked him up. The card base is Select White by PTI, the DP is Shabby Princess by BoBunny. I coloured Billy using Copic Markers. The scalloped punch is the mat for the sentiment and I added a little bit of white Souffle Pen. The flowers are from my stash. As a final touch, I added a little gold around the image frame and on the red peace, too.
That's it and I hope you like it.

My neighbour turns 80 today!
Before I actually begin this post, let me say that this card was totally CASE'd from Boni of Bonibleaux Designs. I needed a card quick and I loved your card so much, I had to copy. I hope your are flattered and not offended.
Our condo Social Committee hosts a 'coffee' hour on the first Thursday of each month. Today, one of the group brought cake to celebrate his 80th birthday and this is the card I made for Jack.
The inside reads: "and what doesn't hurt, doesn't work!" I was so hoping that Jack would not be offended as we've only known him about a year or so. I'm happy to say he loved his card.

Sweetest little reindeer, ever!
The Little Paper Shop is having a sketch challenge, LPS35, and I picked up this little guy through their forum which you can see and join here. Each month they have a "freebie" digital stamp and Rudolph (my name for him) is now available. I decided to participate in the skecth challenge using Rudolf. Here is my entry for LPS35:
I used Creamy Caramel for the base and the DP is "Bohemia Christmas" by Basic Grey which I've had for two years now and use it sparingly because I love it so! The mats areound the DP are Close To Cocoa and Bordering Blue. The edge of the circle is sponged with Close To Cocoa ink.
I used Glossy Accents on the ears and hooves for some shine, the body of Rudolf is sporting Tan coloured Fun Flock and the nose is coloured with Real Red SU marker and then covered with Glamour Dust. Here's a close up for you to see.
I added the sentiment from Short & Sweet by SU and encased it in a metal oval from Hodge Podge hardware, also by SU. The ribbon is just a bit from my ever-increasing stash.

My poor James has the chicken pox!
My daughter sent me an e-mail yesterday telling me that my grandson, James, has the chicken pox! I felt so bad because he's only 16 months old and can't figure out why he's all itchy and out-of-sorts. I hope this card makes him feel a little better.
We love you, James, and hope you are better soon. Please, don't give them to your big brother, Owen. Mommy and Daddy will go nuts!
The stamp is called "sumpin's wrong" from Mo's Digital Pencil. She has some really cute stamps and this one was perfect for the occasion.

What a way to start the day!
Last week I participated in a sketch challenge at Whimsie Doodles which you can see here. This morning I turn on my computer, as I do every morning while waiting for my coffee to brew, and there was my name in the Whimsie Doodles newsletter. Thank you so much, Whimsie Doodles. Hop on over to Whimsie Doodles store and check them out. This is the set I chose. I loved the card made by Thanh Vo of Yummy Creations, so just had to have this set.

I found a new blog with digital image challenges
I may be slower than some, but I get there in the end. The images from There's Magic In The Air are so cute/lovely that I couldn't resist playing in today's challenge.
In order to make this "sparkle" I sprinkled some Glamour Dust on the hearts, both flower and word, a little bit on the jug and some on the tips of the icicles and then completed the look by framing the entire image. Copic markers were used to colour the image and and little ribbon on the side for dimension. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's "Archive" collection which I've had stashed away for quite a while now and I love it.
I had every intention of participating in last week's challenge, but just didn't find the time last week. Here it is anyway, and congratulations to the winner of this challenge, JanJ. Lucky you, Jan!
This little fellow is Eldon and he's adorable. I just had to make a card with him. The card base is Pretty In Pink with some Gable Green mats. The DP is Klaidescope by SU and the ribbon is Pretty In Pink. Of course, I used my Copics to colour Eldon.
What fun and I can't wait to see next week's challenge at There's Magic In The Air!

One card, two challenges!
This card meets the requirements for two challenges. The first is Get Sketchy Challenge # 7. Great sketch and I loved doing it. Here is the sketch from Get Sketchy.
The second challenge is one from The Stamp Shack. We were asked to create a card that uses "matstacks". Over the years, I have collected umpteen dozen of these pads and really don't use them often enough. I guess I need to be told specifically when to use them. I chose the Hooga Booga stamps by MFT. I used Flower Soft for the dress and, as you can see from the photo, the paper is Pocketful of Posies by DCWV. The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the arms and bow were coloured with Copic markers. I added a few buttons and did some sewing, too.
That's it for today. Haven't posted for a while and then can't seem to stop. Sorry.

Card for a little fellow who broke his elbow!
Can you say "OUCH". It must be very painful. One of our Shackie's told us about her great-nephew who is only five and going through some painful surgeries because of a broken elbow. I took out some scraps and put together this card. Outside of the card base being made of SU craft c/s, I don't remember the other papers, patterned or otherwise. The stamp set is by All Night Media and I got a terrific deal on the set from another Shackie. Thanks, Erin, I finally got to use it.

WD Sketch Challenge # 3
Whimsie Doodles are having sketch challenges weekly and I am participating this week. Here is the sketch:
and here is my card:
What I like about digital images is the fact you can re-size them and, as in this case, I flipped it horizontally. I thought he would look better marching into the middle of the card, rather than off the card. It's the 'designer's' choice.
I used Razzleberry for the base, Pretty In Pink as the accent and a Cottage Tulips by Chatterbox for the DP. The sentiment is from Short & Sweet by SU.
